Well anyway, here's what I gave my Dad for Christmas. I was elbow-deep in the Modge Podge for this project, and loving every second of it!

I was browsing Michael's craft store this fall and came across plain wooden birdhouses. Perfect! Dad likes birdhouses. I like to paint. Win and win.

It took me a while (like, weeks) to figure out how to paint it. I ended up deciding to use dried wild flowers I picked and pressed last summer when I visited home for a while. Did I ever Modge Podged those things. Like a bastard.

I also experimented with crackle medium for the first time! It's really neat stuff.

I think he really liked it. Score!
